About the Opportunity
I’m currently partnering with a high-growth workforce technology platform that’s transforming how organizations manage contingent labor and staffing operations.
Following recent expansion and integration into a broader ecosystem, they’re continuing to scale their engineering team and are now looking for a Senior .NET / SQL Developer to take ownership of core backend systems.
This platform is used by hundreds of organizations, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and real-time data processing.
The Role
This is a backend-heavy full stack role with a strong emphasis on C#, .NET, and SQL Server performance optimization.
You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing high-performance applications—particularly focused on stored procedures and database efficiency, which sit at the core of the platform.
You’ll be working within a collaborative team environment but with a high level of autonomy and ownership over your work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing, developing, and maintaining .NET applications backed by SQL Server
- Writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting high-performance stored procedures
- Diagnosing and resolving complex database issues (e.g., locking, blocking, deadlocks, concurrency)
- Building new features, workflows, and client-specific customizations
- Ensuring clean, maintainable, and scalable code following modern .NET best practices
- Participating in code reviews and team collaboration
- (Optional) Supporting reporting tools such as SSRS
What They’re Looking For
- 6+ years of experience with C# and .NET development (or 4+ years with a relevant degree)
- Strong expertise in building web applications and APIs
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server stored procedures (performance tuning is essential)
- Proven experience troubleshooting database performance issues (locking, blocking, deadlocking)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a high-autonomy, low-micromanagement environment
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal English)
Nice to Have
- Experience with reporting tools (SSRS, Power BI, Crystal Reports, DevExpress)
- Exposure to mobile development (.NET MAUI / Xamarin)
- Experience within staffing, workforce management, or VMS platforms
