About the Opportunity
I’m currently working with a government-focused technology services provider that’s looking to hire a .NET / C# Software Developer to support a range of secure, enterprise-level projects.
This is a fully remote position (within approved U.S. states) offering strong stability, structured delivery, and the opportunity to work on systems that require high levels of reliability, compliance, and security.
The Role
This is a hands-on backend-leaning development role focused on building and maintaining applications using C# and the .NET framework, alongside SQL Server and cloud technologies.
You’ll be involved across the full development lifecycle—from requirements gathering through to development, testing, and deployment—working closely with product owners and technical teams.
This role is well-suited to someone who enjoys working in a structured, process-driven environment with clear standards and long-term projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining web and console applications using C# and .NET
- Building and supporting cloud-based applications in Microsoft Azure
- Creating and maintaining SQL Server databases and SSIS packages
- Collaborating with QA teams to review, troubleshoot, and resolve defects
- Participating in requirements gathering, documentation, and task breakdown
- Working closely with Product Owners during scoping and planning phases
- Following established software design principles and development standards
- Communicating progress and updates to stakeholders
- Producing clear technical and non-technical documentation
What They’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience with C# and the .NET framework
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (schemas, indexing, T-SQL)
- Familiarity with Visual Studio development environment
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services)
- Exposure to CI/CD or DevOps practices (Azure DevOps or similar)
- Experience with SSIS
- Prior experience in government or highly regulated environments
Key Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required (due to project and clearance requirements)
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain Public Trust Clearance
- Must be based in one of the approved U.S. states
What’s on Offer
- Salary: $80,000 – $90,000
